Time credits

TimeBankers exchange services based upon a complimentary currency known as the time credit. TimeBank members earn time credits by providing a service, and spend time credits receiving a service.

For one person to earn a time credit, another person has to agree to give it. Timebanking happens when a network or circle of members have agreed that they will give and receive credits for services that other members provide or receive. Those networks are called “timebanks.”

  • Give one hour of service to another, and receive one time credit.
  • Receive one hour of service from another person, and spend one time credit.

The exchanges of services and time credits are recorded in the Community Weaver online timebanking software. See Record an Exchange. See also: * Exchange Records

It is also possible to donate your time credits to another timebanker. See the "Donate Time Credits" in the Record an Exchange
