Membership

Applying for Membership

There are two ways for a prospective member to get a new Community Weaver account:

Selecting Members from a List

Acting on Behalf of a Member

  • A coordinator can temporarily Become a member to act for them.

Guardian Angel Mode

  • A Guardian Angel is a member who is given the access to observe and to act as another member, who needs special assisitance.

Coordinator Permissions

An Admin Coordinator can assign coordinator capability to any member via "Coordinator Settings" in their Member Profile. There are four different coordinator roles:

  • Admin Coordinator – has access to everything, all site-wide configurations. Only the Admin Coordinators will be able to make site-wide changes of the configurations in your CW 3. The Admin Coordinator will also be able to assign all roles to any members in TimeBank.
  • Member Coordinator – This role has full access to members' profiles, offers, requests, recorded exchanges, and their TimeBankers' Talents listings. The Member Coordinator can create and edit all of these as well as create and edit alerts. Member Coordinators cannot create and edit the TimeBank's regular pages, news (announcements), links, or events calendar, unless they are also given the Outreach Coordinator role.
  • Member Support Coordinator – This role is for coordinators to support members using the TimeBank. Member support coordinators can edit the members’ offers, requestsand timebanker's talents listings. This coordinator can also create and edit exchanges for other members. However, they can not make changes in the member's profile. This coordinator can also create and edit alerts – but not the TimeBank's regular pages, news (announcements), links, or events calendar, unless they are also given the Outreach Coordinator role.

  • Outreach Coordinator – is responsible for publicity and outreach. This role has access to create and edit the TimeBank's regular pages, news (announcements), links, and events calendar, but cannot edit members' profiles, offers, requests, recorded exchanges or TimeBanker's Talents listings, unless given another role that has those permissions.


Create and Manage Site Content

Alerts

An alert is an urgent announcement. Its title will be shown at the top of the Sidebar below a red title banner. All coordinators can create and edit alerts.

Pages

A page is an informational web page within CW3. Its title may be shown in the Sidebar.

Links

A link goes to a web page outside CW3. Its title may be shown in the Sidebar.

News

A news article's headline may be shown in the Sidebar. News articles were called announcements in CW 2.

Events

An event is a calendar entry. It may be shown on the TimeBank Home Page.


Site Setup

Most configuration options are available under the Menu Bar's gear icon.

Home Page

The coordinator can configure the appearance, content, and visibility of the home page.

Identity, Features, and Time Zone

Signup Requirements

Logo, Colors, and Fonts

Lists

Add or remove service categories, cities, counties, affiliations, and community time banks.

Email Notifications to Members

Set the subject line and body text for broadcast emails sent to members.
